My Highlighter Game

I am a sucker for highlighting, it’s a fact. I absolutely love a little dewiness and highlighting is my favourite part of my makeup routine.  Let me tell you something though, you don’t need to reserve highlighting for nights out, you can add this to your daily makeup routine, in a very subtle way. A little goes a long way and here is how I add a little glow and youth to my day time makeup look.

Once I have filled in my eyebrows, I sweep a little bit of Benefit’s High Brow Pencil onto my brow bone and lightly buff this in with my ring finger.  That is it, simple right? It takes all of 10 seconds to give you a lifted, high brow finish.  The matte pink creamy texture is perfect for all skin tones and not too over the top for a day time look.  PURCHASE HERE

The Benefit Watt’s Up! Highlighter is stunning, simple to use and again, like the High Brow Pencil, isn’t too overpowering for day time makeup.  This champagne cream to powder highlighter is spot on.  Once my foundation is applied, I lightly apply a small amount of this to the tops of my cheekbones and sometimes, if I am not using the High Brow Pencil, this can also be dabbed onto my brow bone.  I then add a little to my cupids bow, the ball of my nose and a tiny tiny amount to the centre of my forehead.  You can either go ahead and blend this in softly with your ring finger, or you could use the cute sponge buffer at the end of the tube.  Again, that is it.  I then go ahead and add my blush so both blend in seamlessly.  PURCHASE HERE

I can’t live without a little daytime highlighting, can you? Why should it only be saved for special nights out? Highlighting is possible to achieve in a simple, quick and subtle way.

I’ll see you soon. X.O.
