• Top 5 Christmas & New Year Makeup Must Haves

    Xmas makeup

As the festivities are in full swing, the tree has gone up, the turkey bought and the mistletoe hung up, one more thing you need to get in order is your Christmas makeup must haves.

    1.  The Balm – Mary Lou Manizer  – Purchase here
Highlighting is one of my favourite things to do makeup wise.  But during the Christmas party season, for me, I think it is essential to have that extra glow and shimmer.  This doesn’t mean go crazy with your highlighter and turn yourself into a sparkly bauble.  This highlighter is beyond amazing and can be built up without looking overly shimmery.  Use this on top of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, sweep under your eyebrows and of course on your cupids bow.  This highlight will bring your Christmas party look together amazingly.

    2. Benefit – They’re Real LinerPurchase Here
What can I say, this eyeliner is to die for.  It goes on so well and you can get the winged eyeliner look spot on, even if you are a beginner or not that confident with this particular look.  It’s super black and won’t smudge at all, making it the perfect eyeliner for those party nights out.

    3.  The Balm – Nude Tude PalettePurchase Here
This palette has been one of my favourites for a long time and has some stunning shades to suit all skin tones.  From subtle nudes, to striking plums and deep gorgeous browns, this is the pallette to have during the party season.  The colour pay off from these shadows are amazing!

    4.  Too Faced Glamour DustPurchase Here
You can’t have party makeup during Christmas without a little sprinkle of sparkle and these cute little numbers are perfect.  Use alone or why not layer over your eye shadow to give you that sexy Christmassy sparkle.

    5. Too Faced Chocolate BarPurchase here
This palette had been on my wish list for some time and I cannot believe it’s taken me so long to purchase it!  It’s full of nudes, pinks and browns and a mixture of some different shades which all compliment each other.  This palette consists of mattes and shimmers making it extremely versatile and perfect to take you from the office to the dance floor.  Wait, I cannot believe I nearly forgot to mention this…this palette actually smells like chocolate! Yes, chocolate! How clever!

I will certainly be using all of my favourite makeup products during this festive season. What are your favourite festive makeup staples?

    Banishing Cellulite – My Tips

Cellulite – probably the one problem us girls battle all our lives but don’t actually ever conquer it.  Am I right?  You are not alone.  But did you know, men also suffer from the same condition?  Maybe not as obvious or problematic as us ladies, but they are still affected by it, even if it is slightly.  Oh and celebrities, please do not think that celebrities do not suffer from ugly cellulite, because they sure do!  So before I continue, I hope that makes you feel a little better.

I myself, do have cellulite but to be honest it’s not really bothered me and I haven’t let it bother me, but for some reason, I am intrigued on how I can banish it and have made it my little project to improve the texture of my skin in my problematic areas, mainly thighs and bum area.

I have been researching some things that will help me, some are of course obvious but others are tried and tested products by me with my honest opinion.  So let me know what you think.

    Homemade Vitamin C Serum Treatment

Hello beautiful ladies (and men of course) out there who have been intrigued by the interesting topic of this post.   You are right to be so, as this is something I have been researching for a while and now recently, have incorporated into my beauty regime.

Essential oil amber glass bottle with slices of lemon

Firstly, let me begin by explaining how magical Vitamin C is for your skin.  It is of course excellent for you when ingested, but when applied topically to the skin, brings so many benefits.  Vitamin C is an excellent anti-oxidant, encourages the skin to produce collagen within the skin which in turn keeps the wrinkles at bay (every girls dream) and is excellent for evening out skin tone and lightening acne scars, which is the reason I now religiously use this as a face mask treatment.  Do not underestimate the power of Vitamin C!

    October Favourites

I cannot believe how quickly October has flown by and that it’s already November. It’s definitely that time of year again where I am starting to stock up on luscious goodies to keep my skin, hair and nails in tip top condition during the harsh winter months.  Here are a few bits and pieces I have really been enjoying during the month of October.

    Garnier Body Anti-Cellulite Oil

So I have about 6 weeks before I go on holiday and I am at the point where I need to start prepping my skin before I dare to bare myself on the beach.  We spend a lot of the year covered up so when we are exposed to the sun, we need to ensure our skin looks well cared for.  So, as I am a little obsessed at the moment with ensuring my skin looks supple whilst on holiday, I have become totally addicted to this oil.  I cannot tell you how easy it is to use.  It’s not greasy or sticky and smells divine with the lemon, mandarin and grapefruit fragrance capturing your senses.  I use this on my problematic areas after I have come out of the shower, just massaging the oil into my skin to ensure it is fully absorbed. I have noticed my skin looking firmer and feeling softer and more supple since using this and I will definitely continue to do so even when I return from holiday.  Big thumbs up from me.  Oh, and it’s dead cheap!
