Oops, my September favourites is slightly late. I haven’t been well and have just started to feel a little human again so am really excited to share with you what I have been loving during the month of September. I can certainly say, I will be using these products for a while as I am totally addicted and have all made their way into my daily beauty routine. So, let’s get started : )
I am completely obsessed with Dr Nick Lowe’s facial cleanser, so much so that I decided to invest in some of his other skincare products and boy am I glad I did. The first one being this menthol based facial scrub which is heaven in a tube. The product claims to “reveal a softer, brighter and more radiant complexion using gentle spherical micro beads to smooth the skin, purify pores and stimulate cell renewal.” It is advised on the packaging that this facial scrub should be used weekly, however can be used as required. This scrub is perfect for when your skin feels dull, clogged up and perhaps a little congested. After one use of this scrub, it certainly lives up to what it claims to do. Your face immediately glows, pores appear smaller and it sheds all those horrid dead skins cells which give you that clogged up/congested feeling. My complexion was definitely brighter, smoother, clearer and revitalised. In my view, this scrub is excellent and reasonably priced!
I am not sure why, but one thing I have always neglected is my under eyes and I know I really need to look after this area of my face more than I do, being so delicate and prone to early wrinkling and crows feet which I am so far bless to not have experienced. Following on from my obsession with Dr Nick Lowe’s skincare range, I also bought this month, my first eye cream in a very long time. The product states it contains powerful skin tighteners and formulas which have been proven to reduce the appearance of dark circles. I have always been skeptical of eye creams, but this one has actually pulled through and I have noticed, with continued use, the tightening effect and lightening of dark circles. This product has earned a place in my daily skincare routine for the foreseeable future.
So, I am not one for jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to products that are being hyped up all over the internet, but I have to say, I am definitely staying on the GlamGlow bandwagon. This supermud is known to help problem skin, such as acne prone skin, blackheads/whiteheads, large pores and any kind of break out. After using this for a month, once sometimes twice week if I am having a bad skin week, I have noticed a considerable difference in not only the drastic decrease of my acne breakouts but the texture of my skin. I cannot tell you how bright and soft to touch my skin is at the moment and it takes a lot for my acne prone skin to look and feel like that. It is packed with a blend of AHA and BHAs which deliver faster results. The ingredients within this mask, somehow are able to vacuum extract from deep within your pores, giving you faster results as promised. I will definitely be doing a separate post on just this product as there is so much to tell you about it, so stay tuned. It is pricey, but if you are like me and battle acne, I definitely see this is a brilliant investment.
Most of my life, I have a been a loyal vaseline girl. You can’t go wrong right? But, this month I stumbled across the Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm and all I can say is wow! Now that we are coming up to the winter months, this little gem in a jar is perfect to keep your lips soft and supple. I use this twice a day, morning and night, as it is quite rich so I like to use it as a pre-lipstick balm and a night treatment. If my lips are feeling particularly dry and neglected, I will use this throughout the day to give them a boost. The ingredients contained within this balm are, Honey, Plant Oils, Shea Butter and Grefruit Essence. The packaging also stated that this product has been tested in the extreme weather conditions of Canada and is known to nourish, protect, repair and protect and I really feel like this does. I will always be a vaseline girl, but this is a great lip product for when your lips need a little more tlc.
Another product I really did not want to just try for the sake of it is Morocanoil, but I cracked. I purchased this and have to say I was very surprised. The first thing I noticed was the richness of the oil and secondly, the smell is absolutely gorgeous. I run a small amount through my ends once I have blow dried my hair and I also add some the night before or a few hours before I am going to wash my hair as a little nourishing treatment. I have found my hair isn’t as dry or tangled when using this oil. It is a little pricey, but a little goes a long way and is great to use as a pick me up treatment and when my hair is feeling a little neglected.
Let me know if you use any of the above products and what you think of them? Are any of them staples in your beauty regime?
